One of the many connections of chemistry to physics is Coulomb's Law.
Coulomb's Law describes the attraction between two charged objects, such as a proton and an electron, or two electrons. The electrical force between the objects is directly proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Many of the factors such as atomic and covalent size and bonding are influenced by the amount of attraction or repulsion between charged objects and thus to Coulomb's Law.
