Combined Gas Law

In 1811 Amedeo Avogadro proposed his now famous hypothesis stating that equal volumes of gases at the same temperature and pressure contain equal numbers of molecules.

Avogadro's law is modeled mathematically as a direct linear relationship (Volume=k*moles). Students traditionally know Avogadro's law by memorizing the value of 'k', the slope of a graph of volume versus moles, at standard conditions (STP), 22.4 L/mol. The value 22.4 L/mol is known as the standard molar volume.
