There are a variety of home activities that can be related to biomolecules. Food can be tested for a number of common types of biomolecules such as fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. These tests are most easily performed in the school setting. Two simple but significant processes are used in the following sets of instructions. These relate to enzymes and proteins found in particular food products.
