Note that in the above Math section it was pointed out that linear regressions tended to increase the errors in determining Km and Vmax values from Lineweaver-Burk plots. This is true, especially for real kinetic data. However, the use of linear regression in these graphing calculator exercises is of pedagogic value in helping students to understand how to carry out graphical analysis of kinetic data.
