Precipitation titration

The solubility of a salt can be influenced by another salt having a common ion. This is called the common ion effect. The equilibrium will shift to make more precipitate when additional ion is added. Below is a diagram of equilibrium changes that occur when NaCl is added to a solution of AgCl.
