B23 Electrolysis of Liquid Ammonia

Description
A power supply is used to electrolyze a solution of sodium bromide in liquid ammonia. The solution around the negative electrode turns deep blue. The polarity of the power supply is reversed, and the solution around the other electrode turns blue.
